About the Rankings
The ranking is primarily determined by the Olympic Games, the World Championships, and the World Cup. The system also includes continental championships, which are weighted according to their importance on the international stage. Two-person crews and team events are included only in the national rankings, while the individual rankings are based exclusively on results from individual canoe and kayak events.
