Explanation
Curling has a clearly structured hierarchy of international competitions. The ranking is based primarily on the Olympic Games and the World Championships, complemented by continental championships and other major global events.
The system also includes the leading Grand Slam of Curling events and the World Curling Tour Ranking, adding a measure of sustained performance at the highest international level alongside national-team competitions.
In addition to the national rankings, the skips of men's and women's teams are evaluated separately as the leading figures of their respective national teams. Mixed and Mixed Doubles results remain part of the national rankings.
