Explanation
The ranking is primarily determined by the World Championship and the overall World Cup standings. The European Championship, the Superprestige series, and the Cyclo-cross Trophy carry a lower point weight. Between 2005 and 2008, when no overall World Cup classification was awarded, riders receive points for individual race victories.
