Explanation
The ranking is based on the final Formula 1 World Championship standings from 1950 onwards. The Drivers' ranking uses a points scale corresponding to the current Grand Prix scoring system, rewarding not only World Championship titles but also consistent finishes among the leading drivers of each season.
Constructors and engine manufacturers are evaluated separately using the historic Formula 1 points system of 10–6–4–3–2–1 for the top six positions. This creates separate historical rankings for drivers, constructors, and engine manufacturers based on their overall championship performance in each season.
